Steve Wilhite | Pastor, Elder
Steve has served as Lake Tapps' Senior Pastor since 2003. He and his wife, Kari were married in 1994 and God’s blessed them with two strong sons and two beautiful daughters. One of his favorite possessions, if pastors can admit to that, is their Vanagon. It’s the only vehicle on planet earth where you can floor it without getting a speeding ticket. Steve graduated from Emmanuel Christian Seminary in Johnson City Tennessee. In addition to teaching, Steve loves leading the church with a team of Elders and amazing staff. Since most of us have packed our lives with friends and followers yet remain lonely, isolated and longing for meaningful friendships, one of his favorite tag lines is ‘Going deeper with fewer.’

Lindsey Eklund | Director of Children's Ministries
Lindsey is honored to serve as the Director of Children's Ministries. She joined the Lake Tapps team in April of 2019 after spending the last ten years in the north Puget Sound region. She is a military “brat” who has had the opportunity to live in many different places around the world. From an early age, she developed a love and sense of compassion for others and credits the exposure to many different cultures and ways of life for this character trait.
She is a graduate of William Smith College and Duke University and has devoted more than 20 years to working in education with children and their families. She is committed to continuing a strong, faith-based educational program in our wonderful school where God is honored, Christ is followed, and people are served. She values collaboration and encourages an atmosphere of positivity and teamwork.
She is married to Scott, mother to A.J. and Aiden and together they enjoy creating a space of hospitality and welcome in their home and in their lives. Her passions include singing, theatre, Duke basketball, travel, and cheese.
Jason Siegfried | Director of Worship and Digital Ministry
Jason joined the staff of Lake Tapps in the fall of 2018 after moving to Washington from Indiana with his lovely wife Valerie and their teacup poodle, Turnip. Jason is working towards his Masters in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and when he's not studying or playing guitar he enjoys being out in the trees, reading, and playing and singing with his wife in their band "The Siegfrieds".
