History

The church was founded in 1983 with the preschool not long after. In looking for different ways to reach out to the community Pastor Art realized that a preschool was the best way to go.

LTCP was officially founded in 1996 with only 25 students directed by Mrs. Nancy Whitehair. She retired in 1999 when Elaine Miller started in the director position for just a year and a half with 40-45 students. From there, Miss Connie Wilson took over and directed for 13 years and retired in 2013 with 160 students in the school.

Over these years we have become one of the most established preschools in the area. With a strong group of teachers and a mutual love for God and children, LTCP has grown into a beautiful family and we would love to have you join us.

Mission Statement

Our goal is the development of each child spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially by instilling in them a value system consistent with the Word of God.

Bible Verse

Matthew 5:16

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the teacher to child ratio in the classes?

Each class will have a ratio of 1 teacher to 7-10 children depending on the class.

Do you offer in-person tours?

Yes! The springtime or over the summer is the best time to come and tour (with your child of course) but we do offer tours during the remainder of the year.

What months does the school operate?

We operate the same months as public school – September through June. We follow the Sumner school district schedule for breaks!

What will my child learn about God?

They will learn that God created ALL of us and loves us very much. They will also be taught numerous Bible stories throughout the year!

What's the difference between 4's & Pre-K?

The main difference between the 4 year-old and Pre-K classes is the schedule. Our 4 year-old program is 3 days a week while our Pre-K is 4 days a week. They both prepare your child to start Kindergarten, but Pre-K moves at a faster pace than the 4 year-old class does.

Do all of the teachers attend church here?

While not all of our teachers attend LTCC, all of them have a home church. Learning about our teachers walk through faith plays a big role in our decision to hire them onto our team. We want to ensure that your child is getting a great education, while simultaniousley learning about God from someone that is rooted in faith.

What is the COVID-19 protocol?

Currently masks are now optional for staff and  optional for students. Each class will remain in their “bubble” at all times, meaning that there will be no cross contamination between classes as we will distance them from each other. Should we have an outbreak, it is isolated to one class and endangering less children. These circumstances may change as the year progresses.

How are parents notified about closures?

All notifications will come from your teachers through Procare! You can also check our social media site.
