Laurie Tormanen | Director
I'm was born in Colorado, but have lived in the Northwest since 1990. I have a wonderful husband, and 4 grown children. My interest in education began early on in life, as I watched my sister's journey through special education as a deaf student. I went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado and majored in Special Education. After college, I began working as a preschool teacher- a job I loved dearly. After the birth of my first son, I opened my own in-home family childcare. I provided a preschool program to many amazing children. After years of witnessing the work of the amazing Preschool and Kindergarten staff, I made the transition to Director. I'm excited to be a part of such a gifted team.

Holly Alexander | Teachers' Assistant
The Lord has taken me on many adventures throughout my life. It all began in the tiny country of Haiti, where my parents were missionaries. Dad was a pastor & Mom was a nurse. As a young child we moved back to the states. I spent most of my childhood in Indiana and my teenage years were in Michigan. I attended Bethel College in Indiana, graduating in 1997. My next adventure was in England where I attended a Bible School called Capernwray. From there, God led me to the great state of Washington, where I met my husband, Fireman Dan! We have been happily married since 2000. We have 2 gorgeous children, Josie and Ben, who both attended Lake Tapps Christian. Between the 2 of them, we were a part of this fantastic school for 6 years. It has been the best experience for our whole family! The foundational teaching they received was outstanding and the love and care poured out on them was truly a blessing. It was such a well-rounded education for their early years and really set them up for success. Now the adventure continues as I have the opportunity to work part-time at LTCP, assisting the amazing teachers and staff.

I began teaching Sunday school soon after, because of my love and passion for working with children. I have an associates degree in early childhood education and I have a Career and Technical Education Certificate in early childhood education. I have worked with children for over 16 years and I have taught child development at White River High School. I look forward to working with your children.

I was born and raised in Central Washington, in the small town of Cashmere. I received my elementary education degree from Western Washington University in 1999, which also happened to be the same year I got married! After graduation from Western, I taught 2nd grade and Life Skills in Sumas, WA for a year. My husband and I both got teaching positions in Auburn the following year, so we made the move down I-5. While in Auburn, I taught Early Childhood Education (special needs preschool and Kindergarten). I am married to a wonderful guy, Abe, who is a high school teacher in Auburn, and we have two great kids, Owen and Lauren. I started teaching at Lake Tapps Christian Preschool in 2009, after taking a few years off to stay home with our kids. My passions are scrapbooking, reading, cooking, and a great cup (or two!) of coffee!
