J12 is our ministry to 4th and 5th graders. Tweens are able to engage their hearts and minds in their faith and are challenged to follow after the model of Jesus at 12 years of age, sitting in the temple courts asking questions and learning. Our J12 program meets Sunday mornings during the school year at our 9:00 AM service time. All 4th and 5th graders are invited to play, learn and grow closer to God with others in a fun and engaging program designed just for them!
One-Eighty is our middle school ministry serving 6th thru 8th graders. Romans 12:2 says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." One-Eighty is about challenging our middle school students to live differently or 180 degrees from the pattern of the world. Each Sunday at Lake Tapps from 6:00pm-7:30pm we gather with the High School Ministry for a time of fellowship and games. We worship God through fun and laughter, music and teaching followed by small group discussion.
THE COMMUNITY HSM
The Community is our high school ministry serving students in 9th through 12th grades. High school students need to take their faith to the streets--building on a foundation of faith--where they see God in action in and through them. Every Sunday night students meet at Lake Tapps from 6:00 to 7:30 PM for a time of music, teaching and discussion.
For more information about J12, One-Eighty, The Community or our other student activities, or for directions to the meeting location, please email our Student Ministry Director at Stephanie@ltcc.org or call 253.888.6065.
The Student Ministry Team desires to create an integrated community of youth within the church, not a separate identity. Though we are purposeful in involving students in age-specific worship and events, middle school and high school students are encouraged to attend service with their parents on Sunday mornings.
