The Goodness of God
As God lead his people one of the titles He chose was Shepherd, the One who cares for His sheep. It’s not surprising that as Jesus demonstrated his love for his disciples he said, “I’m the Good Shepherd”. When David wrote the twenty-third Psalm, perhaps the most comforting chapter in all of scripture, he chose these words: “The Lord is my shepherd.” It’s easy to forget God’s goodness, to forget that God sent Jesus to meet our deepest needs. It’s why we’re taking the next six weeks to remember the Goodness of God.
